DEI Policy

Diversity, Equity, and Inclusion (DEI) Statement

The team at Pacific Knit Co. believe that diversity, equity and inclusion are core values that make our knitting community the valuable resource that it is. We are also aware that the work is not yet done, and our community still has improvements to make.

We value the pride and radical visibility of those who have historically been excluded, both from fiber arts and many other spaces. We recognize that privilege and marginalization exist across multiple aspects of a person's identity and that no single trait represents a monolith of human experience. On topics where we ourselves do not have lived experience, our policies and behavior will be guided by those who do have that lived experience.

In our current times, it is more important than ever to ensure that we maintain and strengthen our safe spaces. We will continue to source a diverse team of collaborators and suppliers for all our projects.

Starting this year, we will also be donating a portion of our sales to a different charity each month, to ensure that we are using our privilege to help others and give back to our community.

Our Charity List:

  • ACLU
  • Trevor Project
  • Black Lives Matter Seattle - King County
  • Planned Parenthood
  • Central District Forum
  • New York Immigration Coalition

We want to make sure that we continue to adapt to a changing environment, so please reach out to our Customer Experience Manager at Grey@PacificKnitCo.com if you notice any oversights, have any concerns or requests, or simply want to chat with us more about our company.
