For PNW local shops, I'm available to teach in-person Doodle Classes! For anything outside of the PNW, I am also available to teach virtual classes.
At this time, my signature classes include:
- Doodles: Learn to Design and Knit Custom Colorwork with Mix-and-Match Motifs (2 hrs)
- Doodles Project: Design your own Colorwork [insert Base Pattern Shape] (2 hrs)
All classes include a copy of my FREE Doodle Workbook (PDF Download) as well as a coupon code for your students to download the Doodle chart set of their choice for use in class.
Class fees are based on a per student rate.

Host your OWN Doodle Class!
I love it when yarn shops use my patterns to teach their customers colorwork! That sounds awesome! Please ensure that all students taking your class either purchase an individual pattern/deck, or include that purchase in the price for your class (and you purchase the resource).
Please note that I do not allow for multiple copies of a digital pattern to be used from a single purchase.

Doodle Class FAQs
I am not based in Seattle - can you still teach a class here?
If the LYS is more than a 2 hour drive from our base in Seattle, the hosting LYS will be expected to pay an additional fee for travel expenses. This is also subject to availability in our travel schedule.
We also offer the option for virtual classes, for stores that are outside of the PNW.

What are your teaching rates and availability?

Note that at this time, Jamie is not currently traveling outside the PNW for in-person classes, and our calendar is usually booked out 3-4 months in advance.
Do you teach virtual classes?
Yes! I am much more flexible to teach virtual classes. I'm available to do this via Zoom or similar platform, typically run by the LYS.
Please note, my in-person teaching rates still apply for virtual classes.
How many students per class?
Because I like to create a welcoming atmosphere where makers feel comfortable asking questions, I typically cap my classes at the following headcount:
- In Person: 8-12 students per class
- Virtual: 15-20 students per class

What about speaking to a Knitting Guild?
Yes! I love doing Guild talks and sharing a bit about Doodles. Typically, I am able to do this remotely, via Zoom or similar platform, facilitated by the Guild.
Unless otherwise discussed, my Guild talks are usually an overview of the Doodle Framework, sharing insight into using base patterns, choosing and arranging your Doodle charts, and building a yarn palette for colorwork.
I'm also happy to offer custom codes for your Guild members for a Free Doodle pattern, so they can try it out if they'd like.
